About Bensae Community

"Bensae" is really a javanesse word. It comes from the word "Ben," means "let be," and "sae" means "good

Therefore, the word "Bensae" has a meaning (and aim) "let be good."

Bensae Community is a "home" for enlightenment and empowerment.

It is a community of ordinary people who have a great care to develop the society and their life to lead better.

It was founded in 2003 and got it turning point some days after a massive destructive earthquake in the region of Imogiri, Bantul, Yogyakarta. 

That disaster has left a traumatic experience indeed.

After some years, everything seems to become normal again.

Bensae Community tries to help people in that region to realize that they live in a "ring of  fire" area.

They must be familiar and well prepared for the risk of that.

Bensae Community holds some informal courses, guidance and technical supports, of course, in a very limited facilities and fund.

The main aim of this effort is to assist such ordinary people to get better opportunities and chance of changing for their life in the future.
